The month started out with an opportunity that we thought would provide us with some visibility. The legislature introduced two resolutions, SR 38 and SCR 83, that urged the Aloha Tower Development Corporation to develop a plan for Pier 7 and include stakeholders in the process, which included Friends of Falls of Clyde. Unfortunately, the resolution included some funding and was not heard in the money committee so it died.

Unfortunate became the word for this period of time as we received a letter from the Deputy Director of the Harbors Division, Darrell Young, which alleged that Friends of Falls of Clyde is in non-compliance with our Revocable Permit. Although we have no details and believe we are in full in compliance, it has added some stress and we will be meeting with Harbors personnel to clarify and clear up what we believe must be a misunderstanding.

As always, anyone following our work and who wants to volunteer ideas, please contact us.

On the positive side, work continues on the poop deck and charthouse with work on the roof thos past weekend. Here are two volunteers  at work.

We know that there is great interest in the future of the Falls of Clyde. There is a lot going on that the Board of Directors is dealing with, so we felt that keeping stakeholders involved through a report on our website is the easiest way to reach our worldwide audience.
