In the last update of the website, we added a new feature called “Did You Know,” which we want to use to share stories and little tidbits of Falls of Clyde history in Honolulu. We encourage anyone who has a story to post it on our Facebook page and we will pick it up for the website feature.
We were disappointed to lose one of our original board members, Susan Yamamoto, who resigned for personal reasons. We were fortunate to fill her term with Kevin Hart, a very enthusiastic volunteer, who joins us with ideas for moving our various projects forward.
The 136th anniversary of the launching of Falls of Clyde will be celebrated on December 12th. We will have a small gathering at Pier 7.
We are also initiating a movie night aboard the ship on Saturday, December 13th, starting at 6 p.m. The movie is titled “Around Cape Horn” and is an upgraded version of a 1929 movie. Mahalo to Hans Van Tilburg for the loan of the movie. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Chris Woolaway at [email protected], as space is limited.
